At Paros Voyages, we stand in solidarity with the healthcare and key workers around the
world who have courageously fought this new disease.
Greece has been lucky to have relatively few confirmed cases of COVID-19 and has made
good progress with a vaccination programme over the last few months, but that doesn’t
mean the danger is completely over.
We want to keep you updated on the current rules the Greek government has in place and
reassure our customers on the measures we have taken to keep everyone safe and offer
answers to some of the common questions we are being asked.
Our team is based in Paros and is available to answer any questions you may have. Please
remember that rules and policies can often change at short notice.
Is it safe to come to Paros?
Our team is on the island and continues to monitor the situation.
We advise all our customers to follow the advice of the Greek government, and their home
country, regarding travel. The tourism season officially started on May 15 th .
Paros is now out of lockdown but with some restrictions in place, along with the rest of
Greece.
The wearing of face masks is currently obligatory in all public spaces, shops and restaurants.
There is also a limit to the number of people allowed in an indoor space at one time. The
penalty for non-compliance is a fine from the police.
Business and international flights and ferries are currently running, albeit a reduced service
in many cases.
There have been several cases of COVID-19 on Paros, but these individuals have been
rapidly identified and isolated to receive treatment with full contact tracing carried out. There
have been no deaths from COVID-19 on Paros.
Restaurants, bars and other establishments have recently reopened. However, many are
running a reduced service and night clubs largely remained closed due to restrictions on the
playing of music.
All hospitality businesses have taken advice from the Greek Ministry of Health and Tourism
in order to keep you safe. This includes asking customers to wear masks while standing or
walking through their establishments.
Measures that are still in place alongside the wearing of masks are the maintenance of social
distancing.
We anticipate that the Greek government will continue to ask tourists to show evidence they
have been vaccinated from eligible countries, such as EU nations and the UK, or a negative
COVID-19 test upon arrival.

Do I have to take a COVID-19 test to come to Paros?
At the time of writing, you must have a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72
hours, to enter Greece from abroad. Fully vaccinated individuals who are residents of the
U.S., EU, UK, Israel and some other countries may enter Greece without a PCR test if they
present a vaccination certificate. Check with your government foreign office if you are
unsure.
We are anticipating this expectation will continue through the summer. There are health
screening spots at all major ports and airports and some passengers may be randomly
allocated for a test on arrival. This is free of charge, note you will not be contacted unless
you have a positive result.
There is no quarantine expectation for foreign travellers, unless they test positive on arrival.
Information is being updated frequently, so we recommend you check the Greek
government’s travel protocol page for up to date information before travel.
24 hours before you travel to Greece, visitors are currently being asked to fill in a Passenger
Locator Form (PLF) where you will be asked to provide the contact details for where you will
stay in the Cyclades.
If I come to Paros, will everything be open?
Currently, restaurants and bars on Paros are open, as are most shops and tourist attractions.
All our services including boat trips, kitesurfing, scuba diving, hiking and snorkelling are
operating, but with reduced capacity in some cases.
What have Paros Voyages done to make activities and boat cruises safe?
We have been monitoring the situation very closely since March 2020 and working with our
operators over the last year to ensure that we can continue to provide a safe environment for
staff and clients.
The Greek Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Ministry of National Health have provided clear
guidance for all tourism operators which we are following, although we expect an update for
the summer season.
Our current planned measures include; incorporating social distancing into activities,
reducing the maximum number of people on board for boat cruises and enacting full
sanitisation and cleaning procedures before and after every activity, including our boat
cruises.
